How Proximity Could Affect the Value of Your Home

You’ve heard it many times before, ‘Location! Location! Location!’  Proximity to certain places can have a positive or negative affect on the value of your home.  Some prime property value boosters include public transportation, schools, and retail.  Proximity to powerplants, garbage dumps, and railroad noise can devalue your home slightly. Some other factors working against your home value include living near a busy road or freeway, sinkholes, or power lines. Whether you’re planning to buy or sell it is important to consider these factors so that you know how it may affect your property’s value.
